Dear Corporate and Sustainer Members,
I want to give you a quick update on our 13th Birthday Week activities. Thursday morning, we had 23 teams compete in the BG Terry Hildner Memorial Golf Tournament at Clear Creek Golf at Fort Hood. The tournament went very well, and we gave out a lot of prizes. We appreciate everyone that participated, and we especially appreciate our sponsors. Thank you to our Title Sponsor, First Heroes National Bank, our two Prize Sponsors – All American Chevrolet and Jack Hilliard Distributing, and Schoepf’s Bar-B-Q for providing lunch.
Thursday evening, we had a very nice 13th Birthday Dinner. This year, LTC(R) Richard J. Tate was inducted into our 13th COSCOM Association Hall of Fame. Rich retired from the Army in 2012 and has remained a valuable member of our Board of Directors. He has also been very active in the community since retirement, including many years as Scout Master for Troup 287 in Killeen. It is a well-deserved honor for Rich!
We had a slightly smaller number of soldiers at both activities this year due to an on-going III Corps exercise, but we appreciate everyone that could join us. I believe everyone had a great time.
The 13th Armored Corps Sustainment Command hosted a 13th Memorial Re-dedication Ceremony on Friday morning. It was well attended and was very well done. We are proud to be associated with such a special Army Unit.
We could not do what we do for our Soldiers, Veterans and family members without our Corporate and Sustainment Members!
